Emocje jako świadectwo. Aspekt psychologiczny składania przez ocalałych relacji przed komisją historyczną tuż po wojnie

Her dissertation entitled. “Afterlives: Jewish and Non-Jewish Polish Survivors of Nazi Persecution in Sweden Documenting Nazi Atrocities, 1945-56,” defended in 2024. Her research focuses mainly on the lives, actions and agency of survivors of Nazi persecution living as displaced persons in the first post-war years, with special attention to the role of gender and other differences. She has authored articles in Swedish and foreign journals and chapters in collective works, including the text Monuments cast shadows. Remembering and Forgetting the 'Dead Survivors' of Nazi Persecution in Swedish Cemeteries [in] Fallen Monuments and Contested Memorials (with Malin Thor Tureby, 2023).

Abstrakt
W latach 1945–1946 dziewięcioro byłych polskich więźniów niemieckich obozów koncentracyjnych (jedna osoba pochodzenia żydowskiego i osiem nieżydowskiego) przebywających na prawach uchodźców w Szwecji otrzymało zadanie spisania doświadczeń wojennych i prześladowań innych Polaków pochodzenia żydowskiego i nieżydowskiego dla potrzeb historii i sprawiedliwości. Choć żadna z tych osób nie była psychologiem, wszystkie one uznały udokumentowanie psychologicznych aspektów składanych zeznań za niezbędny element swej pracy. Zapisane przez nich świadectwa, przechowywane w archiwum Polskiego Instytutu Źródłowego w Lund, w Szwecji (PIŹ) zawierają zatem często cenne i pełne troski uwagi na temat emocji świadków i ich emocjonalnych reakcji podczas wywiadów. Według autorki, zastosowanie tej metody uczyniło emocje integralną częścią spisanych relacji, potwierdzając ich znaczenie jako świadectwa. Waga tego argumentu rosła jeszcze w sytuacjach, gdy Polacy pochodzenia nieżydowskiego prowadzili rozmowy z polskimi Żydami i odwrotnie, jako że zanotowane komentarze ukazują, w jaki sposób i z jaką wrażliwością odnosili oni do siebie poziomie osobistym.
Niniejszy artykuł opiera się na analizach tych świadectw prowadzonych w przeszłości i obecnie przez autorkę, a polegających na wnikliwej lekturze komentarzy, w których mowa o psychologicznych aspektach składania relacji. Umieszczając te komentarze i zeznania, do których się odnoszą, w kontekście teorii na temat wpływu emocji na poznanie, autorka bada, jak metoda nagrywania zeznań świadków wpłynęła na poszerzenie wiedzy we wczesnym okresie powojennym i jaką wpływa na nie obecnie.
