wawrzyniakj@is.uw.edu.pl Author BiographyPhD. in sociology and history, specializes in memory processes in Central and Eastern Europe. Her current projects include work on the memory of socialism, neoliberal transformation and deindustrialization in Poland, and contributions to collaborative research on cultural heritage and memory processes in Eastern Europe, Western Europe and East and South Asia. She has long experience in oral history and museum research. She has published in Heritage and Society, Memory Studies, Contemporary European History, East European Politics and Societies, and Polish Sociological Review, among others. Her latest book, Cuts. An Oral History of the Transformation (2020), published with Aleksandra Leyk, won the Polityka weekly award as the best history book of 2020.
